World Girl´s Ice Hockey Weekend

Welcome to the World Girls' Ice Hockey Weekend tracker on 13/14 October 2012. We keep you updated here with events in 30 countries. The result will be a collection of images and reports from a weekend full of fun for girls all over the world. The stories will be posted in chronological order as we get them with the newest ones on top. More than 300 events with thousands of girls are expected as part of this global campaign.

This is some of my pictures to show you all what I do to support hockey.

Both girls and boys, all over the world:

Me and my younger Sister Sandra, she also plays ice hockey back home in Sweden.

As much as I can I am always helping girls and boys to develop on and of the ice.

 First time you step out on the ice, it is important to have support and fun.

 So many cute girls between 2 and 5 years old in Burlington, Canada.

Every where I go, I always help out with kids skate. So happy to help

all those girls and boys and to teach them how to skate.

 This was Cade two years ago. I miss you Cadie!

In Sweden, teaching kids how to shoot. We where in Sälen, a ski resort, 

with Olympic Day in march. We had no ice rink, so we had a net so the kids could

come and practise on their shoots.

There is no guarantee that says that you will win something big.

But if you do you best, have fun and do what you love, there

will be alot of great moments. And they will last for a lifetime.

You meet so many great friends through hockey.

Me and my friends, just playing hockey for fun when I am home in Sweden for New Yers Eve.

Children are our future so teach them well and support them. People and especially kids needs someone to look up to. It is our responsibility to show them the way and believe in them. I will always do, I will always help them live their Dreams.

Saturday

 Igår var det is på schemat, cyklade korta intervaller innan isen och var ordentligt uppvärmd tills det var dags. Efter isen hade herr laget match men jag kände inte för mer hockey efter träningen så jag satte mig på cykeln igen och cyklade ner i 20 min. Riktigt skönt ibland att bara få koppla borta allt efter en intensiv dag eller ett träningspass. Få vara själv på gymmet då på en cykel funkar bra för mig. Det och lite samtal och sms var mitt fredagsmys denna fredag.

Ledig idag, tog hem trunken igår och varit nere i tvättstugan och tvättat hela min utrustning. Berättade för mina lagkamrater igår att jag skulle göra det och sa att jag inte gjort det sen jag flyttade hit i början av september. Då en av dem svarar och säger- det har jag inte gjort de senaste 10 åren. Så kan man ju också göra:) men jag är väldigt noggrann och tar hand om mina saker så för mig var det dags igen. Du kan tvätta det mesta i maskin: handskar, axelskydd, innerskydden till benskydden, halsskydd, damasker, armbågsskydd tvättar jag i maskin på 40 grader med både tvättmedel och sköljmedel.

Så glad att ha min balkong här i Lugano, att bara få skjuta upp dörrarna och öppna upp och få frisk luft. Lyckan av att få hänga täcket på vädring! Det ska jag ha när jag "blir stor", en uteplats. Älskar det! Natur och fågelkvitter gör mig glad.

Min underbara frukost imorse på hotellet, blev det dubbla. Cissi, håller med om att plommonen var utsökta!

"Mormor Danni" satt och kollade igenom sina kvitton från den senaste månaden, blir en del då jag ändå bara lägger det mesta på mat. Är väldigt ekonomisk och lägger inte mycket pengar på mig själv utöver mat å boende. Känner att jag har allt jag behöver. Då köper ja hellre saker till andra och blir glad för det. Kanske också för att jag de senaste åren inte haft så mycket val än att leva snålt och ekonomiskt för att klara mig och leva på hockeyn. Alla Damhockey spelare vet, även de flesta andra indrottarna i Sverige vet. Få som faktiskt kan tjäna bra på sån idrott, till er som kan det- glad för er skull, njut!!!

Time flies by

Va och tittade på fotbolls match igår.

Här är mitt gym på hallen.

Här finns allt man behöver å lite till.

 Idag var det styrka efter hockeygym. Chins å dips stod bl.a. på schemat.

I söndags satt vi på min balkong och tittade på Solsidan som äntligen kommit med säsong 3, snart söndag igen, längtar!

My Weekend

Me and Cecilia spent the weekend here in Lugano. No games for me this weekend,

sad but true. Looking forward for next weekend when we play Bomo Thun at home.

But first, alot of practises at the rink off and on the ice.

Received a package from my AIK family, thank you Sevve!

 Made my delicious pineapple pie:

For making the dough:

150g butter

1dl sugar

3dl flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

contents:

1 egg

2dl cream fraiche

1 teaspoon vanilla sugar

500g mashed pineapple

Divide the dough into the pie plate. Mix all the contents and pour

it into the pie plate on top of the dough. Put it in the oven, 175 degrees,

for 40 minutes.

Enjoy the pie, warm or cold, and with some vanilla ice cream!

We went down town, it´s a big festival this weekend.

Home made bread.

 We went to the pool for a couple of hours.

I did some laundry. It feels like I am doing that all the time.

 Washed my hockey gloves, I let them dry on the balcony.

Lovely Days

My loved ones are here to visit me. I have had 4 amazing days, great food, a trip to Italy,

we´ve laughed alot, amazing ice creams, cozy nights on my balcony, suprises...

Cecilia made delicious pancakes for us. Just mash two banans and ad 5 eggs, start frying!

So easy and soooo good. Perfect recovery meal with alot of protein and carbs.

The truth.

 

Took Cecilia to the rink, she came with us on the ice.

I love that she had her skates in two plastic bags to the rink (Hemköp påsar).

She was on the red Team, and she scored alot, was so fun to have her on the ice.

Last time I was with her on the ice was with the Swedish National Team 2010.

We have alot of great memories from all the camps we have been to.

I fell out on the ice when I was going out for a shift, Shannon came right after and fell on top of me, 

I had to pay the team 10 swiss franc for that haha.

We played in the end and the red Team had to do 10 push ups everytime

we scored, vice versa.

And that happened two times in a row for Cecilia, so I made sure that she made them properly.
